Summer reading: The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

I recently finished a wonderful book The Help by Kathryn Stockett. The movie comes out next month, can't wait. If you haven't read it, hurry up and get the book. You will get all caught up in the characters and how they let imaginary lines that society has put in front of them dividing social class and race. You will not want to put the book down when the walls they have built between them start crumbling down. My favorite line from the book is for women to realize that:

We are just two people. Not that much separates us. Not nearly as much as I thought.

In the book one of the characters, a maid (domestic help) named Minny, is known for her prize winning caramel cake. I googled "Minny's caramel cake" to see if there was a recipe and there it is... somebody already did the research, found it, blogged about it, and has amazing photos of it.So lets give credit where credit is deserved and give this blogger some recognition.

If you haven't read it, you better hurry up. I promise you won't regret it.
